LWA-KISA INFANT SCHOOL
| Lwa-Kisa School, Nansana 1994 - Lwa-Kisa School came to be and is now on approximately 1.5 acres of land. It began as a lean-to for about 15 students. We took in the very immediate neighborhood children: orphans and one-parent children mostly, ages 3, 4, 5 and up. |
 17 December 2003 2003 - A little over 300 children attended the school, headed by one Uganda Certificated Teacher, assisted by nine young adults - recent high school graduates, first/second year college students and some other adults who can read and write.  17 December 2003 2005 - Kisa School now has ten classrooms. There are over 350 children (more than one-third of them are orphans). There are 15 Teachers plus 6 adult helpers, headed by a duo team of husband and wife who have two little children of their own.  The Uganda Primary School syllabus /curriculum is closely followed...but due to the lack of sufficient funds, all books and materials are lacking. The average pay for a Teacher in Uganda ranges between $70- $100 a month. |
