
How YOU can help
| Lwa-Kisa School, Nansana I and J Kibuuka, Administrators There are many ways in which you can help in this worthwhile undertaking. You can donate by giving money for a specific thing. Or you can give your time and expertise personally. Kisa Primary School is accepting volunteers to serve as teachers, tutors and assistant teachers for the school year. Assignments are for approximately 3 months. The first term in 2009 starts February 1. Subjects include English composition and grammar, math, science, social studies, music, art, athletics and computer skills. Volunteers with skills in carpentry or gardening would also be welcome. Room and board will be provided at the school
for $600/ month. Volunteers will be requested
to make a $500 cash donation to the school.
Volunteers provide their own transportation
to and from Uganda. Kisa School will provide
transportation to and from the airport. Trips
to nearby historical sites and cultural events
will be arranged by the school during the
school term. Volunteers will also be free
to travel around the area on weekends. Kisa
Primary School is in Nansana, Uganda, a busy
trading center
You can sponsor one or more children ($50 for a month, $100 for a term or $300 for a year). Maybe you might want to help pay for a teacher’s salary ($70-$100 a month).
